At Studio Fitness, we strive to bring you events that enhance your mind, body and spirit.  Do you have an idea for a workshop?  We're all ears!  We are open to expanding our repetoire of events.

 

Yoga Workshops with Doreen Johnson:  Flip Into Fall!

Embrace the change in seasons and in life!  As we begin the transition from balmy, Summer days to crisp Autumn evenings, our bodies and our minds tend to shift as well.

Join Doreen for an afternoon of inversions.  In this workshop, she will guide you through an asana practice incorporating headstands, handstands and more, and will offer techniques from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras to help guide the mind toward a new perspective during times of change - both on and off the mat. 

HandstandDoreen will provide guidance on alignment for those new to inversions but a regular asana practice is recommended.

The calendar still says Summer, but here at Studio Fitness, we're planning out our Fall schedule, so you can save the dates!  Our new "Fall Shape Up" Challenge starts Tuesday, September 14th.

Boot Camp Challenge® is designed for all ages, all sizes and shapes, as well as all fitness levels.  Intense and disciplined in nature, Boot Camp Challenge® will guide you in cardio and strength conditioning, where you'll increase your flexibility, build self-esteem and more.  And you will see results!  It's an empowering environment that also challenges and nutures participants who tend to reenlist for new Challenges!  

Boot Camp Challenge® can help you jump start your fitness program, break a plateau or give you some personal motivation. Why not give it a try?

Our previous challenges have been six weeks.  Now give us eight weeks and find out how much your body can change.

2010-2011 Tuition Rates - based on class length
  • 45 minutes = $42
  • 1 hour = $52
  • 1 1/2 hours = $70
  • 1 3/4 hours = $76
A multiple class discount of 10% applies if the student or another family member of the immediate family is taking more than one class.  The 10% will be applied to the 2nd, 3rd, etc. tuition.
 
Payment for first month's tuition secures your spot in the class. Please note that tuition will not be refunded for any reason unless the class is taken off the schedule due to low enrollment. Subsequent payments are due at the first class of the month. For your convenience, you may pre-pay several months, but once paid, tuition is non-refundable.  Payment should be made by cash or check, payable to AP Motion Dance.  Tuition is monthly, but does not guarantee a specific number of classes.  Some classes may have up to five classes per month, and some may have less, depending upon holidays and weather closures.  A standard month usually has four classes.  Monthly tuition remains the same, and is not dependent upon number of classes. 
 
 
Attire
Ballet classes:  Black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes (pointe shoes if taking pointe).
Pre-Ballet:  Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes.
Ballet/Tap/Jazz (7-11 yrs):  Any color leotard, with leggings, tights or jazz pants.  Black split sole jazz booties, pink ballet shoes and split sole oxford tap shoes. 
Jazz, Hip-Hop or Tap: Any color leotard with leggings or jazz pants, black split sole jazz booties/split sole hip-hop sneakers/black oxford split sole tap shoes.
Ballet/Tap/Jazz (5-7 yrs):  Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black mary jane buckle tap shoes, black split sole jazz booties.
 
**If you would like to order dancewear and shoes through AP Motion, there will be one fitting prior to the start of each session.  Your items will be ordered and will be ready for the first class.  If you choose to purchase your dancewear elsewhere, please bring your attire list so that you purchase the correct shoew, as we will be using them for the end-of-year performance.**
