Put Down That Green Bagel! It's Time for Boot Camp Challenge!

That's right, it's time for another round of Boot Camp Challenge.  The new session with Drill Sergeant Susan begins on Tuesday, March 17th.  Why not celebrate St. Patrick's Day with renewed energy?  And no, we don't mean to hoist that green beer off the bar!        

Boot Camp Challenge is a six-week group personal training program that provides you with affordable, individualized attention.  You will be guided in cardio and strength conditioning, gain flexibility and learn more about proper nutrition.

The groups are small so that you get the personal attention you need.  Workouts are led by an experienced fitness professional to help you achieve your fitness goals.  Here's what a participant, Marie, has to say about Susan's steps to success:

  1. Motivation - she has the ability to motivate clients of any level of fitness.
  2. Timing - She has impeccable timing so that your workout can flow seamlessly. 
  3. Creativity - She is imaginative and believes in variation to keep her clients from getting bored. Even the most effective workout will get stale if you do it day after day.

We've said good-bye to 2008, and have welcomed in the New Year.  If you are like the majority of people who make resolutions, losing weight or beginning an exercise program is high on your list.  But how do you plan to stay motivated on the path to a healthier you?  We're sure that music plays a part in your fitness routine, so we want you to share the kick-butt tunes that inspire you to keep going. 

For instance, when I decided to give jogging a try, I was at a point where I was close to home, exhausted, and ready to quit.  Walking was how I was going to finish, proud that I'd gotten as far as I had, but not happy that I was a 'quitter' in my own mind.  And then, that song came on my IPod.  It started slow, but then sped up, motivating me to speed up as well.  Walking... I think not!  Fat Boy Slim's song with changing tempo inspired me to run, to round that last curve to the home stretch as a winner!

Join Tamara Ivankova, former Russian gymnast and skydiver, for this unique fitness class. Throughout this 60-minute total body workout, you will shape and elongate every major muscle group of your body.  You’ll burn fat and create that long, lean look you want to achieve.

Exercises include ballet, strength, and cardio work which will make your muscles look longer and more defined; your body will become leaner and more slender, and your posture will improve.  Each workout is unique; you'll use weights, chairs and Gliding Discs.  According to Women's Health & Fitness magazine, the Gliding Discs workout "provides a full body toning and sculpting workout."
